How paradox fitness started

Our Mission

Jimmy and Shaun has a big passion for the gym and they both work together at a full time job so this is how Paradox fitness came around , our mission is to help individuals achieve their fitness goals with guidance within the website. We believe that fitness should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their fitness level or experience

For someone who’s struggled with their weight all their life — that person is me.
The photo above shows me at my biggest.

Growing up, I was severely overweight, and no matter what I tried, I just couldn’t shift it. In my mid-twenties, I finally joined the gym and stayed consistent for ten solid years. The weight started coming off, and for the first time, I felt like I’d found my rhythm.

Then life happened.

I got comfortable in a relationship — as most people do — and slowly, the gym slipped away. The weight crept back on, little by little, until one day I realised I was back at my biggest. It reached a point where I struggled just to get off the sofa and properly enjoy time with my family.

That was my wake-up call.

Enough was enough.

I went back to the gym initially for my mental health, more than anything else. I’ve always loved getting up early, and that time became my time. Training gave me an outlet — somewhere to release frustration, reset my mindset, and bring my head back to a calm, focused place.

When I train, I feel balanced. I can get on with my day without stress weighing me down. And as a bonus, the weight started coming off again too.

That’s what exercise gives me — strength mentally, clarity emotionally, and better health physically.

So yeah… that’s me.

I've been training with Jimmy a few weeks now and needless to say he's got me back in love with working out. I'd tried countless routines and diets online to try and loose weight and gain muscle and was getting there but at an extremely ow pace. Jimmy offered some advice and after one session I was hooked. One 45 minute workout and I felt that burn that I hadn't felt in months. Since then we have gone over most of my workout and moved into nutrition too. I've gained the confidence and got that self motivation back again to tear it up at the gym. Jimmy has made a workout that suits me to achieve my goal physique, but has also filled me with knowledge as to why I'm doing these exercises and how they will help me reach that end goal. Jimmy is an extremely intelligent guy and knows exactly what he is talking about. I've now gained the confidence to go away and try things by myself to continue building towards that end goal.
